JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE:
Monitor the maintenance of assigned URA vehicle and transport official passengers and items to support business operations in the Authority.
1. Provide Transport and logistical services to URA staff and Officials to facilitate smooth flow of business operations
a) Drive URA staff and officials to meetings, field missions and other destinations as may be requested from time to time.
b) Collect and deliver mail, packages and equipment to assigned destinations
c) Maintain record and account for all deliveries and distributions
d) Advise passengers on basic safety precautions before and during the journey
e) Restrict admission of non-authorized and non-compiliant passengers to the URA vehicle
f) Maintain record of travel appointments and airport pick-ups for Staff and officials, daily mileage and fuel consumption
g) Deliver Customer Centric services
2. Keep the vehicle in good mechanical and hygienic condition to ensure safety and health of the passengers
a) Arrange for regular maintenance and ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and in good running condition at all times.
b) Keep track of the renewal of required documents including vehicle insurance, and registration logs.
c) Take the necessary steps required by the rules and regulations in the event of an accident involving the office vehicle
d) Identify a safe place to park the vehicle by closure of business
e) Carry out periodic checks on the assigned vehicle to determine maintenance needs and report accordingly and time
f) Ensure safety of passengers as a priority
g) Ensure safety of vehicle
h) Familiarity with road safety and traffic regulations
a) A valid driving permit with at least class B
b) A minimum of O’ Level qualification and a maximum of Diploma with at least three (3) years’ driving experience in a reputable organization.
a) Certificate in Defensive driving
b) Specialized training in basic automobile mechanics
c) Customer Care Training
a) Knowledge of Traffic and Road Safety Act
